for some people, career horizons may be limited to a single
function or region, whilst others actively seek out opportunities
to expand their experience across geographical and functional
boundaries. successful career management is about having a
longer term career goal in mind that is realistic and achievable so
that when an opportunity comes along you can decide whether it
will help you achieve your ambitions or not. while it's not always
easy to step out of the comfort zone, taking the opportunity to work
in a different function or region provides a rich learning experience
and a much broader perspective of the organisation. in our global,
fast moving world people with ambition who are willing to step out
of their comfort zone will be the key to our future. here Keynotes
profiles a small selection of the rewarding careers that people are
building for themselves throughout the world.
