this is my first opportunity to address you all in Keynotes and
I would just like to say how delighted I am to be given the
opportunity to join Acergy. It is already clear to me that Acergy
is a great organisation filled with professional and dedicated
people. From the outset, I was introduced to the idea that `At
heart, Acergy is a business driven by the passion and know-how
of its people', and in the last few weeks I have discovered this to
be true. I look forward to learning more about you and our group
over the coming months as one of my key priorities is to visit our
clients, our people and our operations around the world.

we would not be in the strong position we are in today if it was

not for the achievements and commitments of the management
team under tom ehret's leadership, and the contributions that all
of you have made in shaping Acergy. In order to find out how we
might improve our performance and to enable us to understand
your views we are running a global opinion survey called "work
together". I hope you will take this opportunity to participate so
that we can understand the actions we need to take to further
improve the business. our focus remains on achieving profitable
growth, delivering value for our clients and for our shareholders,
and continuing to develop a rewarding and supportive
environment for our people.

sAFe operAtIons

safety remains at the heart of all our operations and I know that,
together, we will be able to establish an incident free Acergy
workplace everyday, everywhere. you can count on my full
support in achieving this goal.

In the latest of our pull-out specials we also focus on security

(p18), an area which can never be ignored. our personal and
collective security is of paramount importance take the time to
read the tips provided in this article.

an important part in helping to streamline our operations
and simplify the way we work. I am interested to see
how this initiative continues to gain momentum and look
forward to seeing some early success as tAQl now moves
offshore (p7).

we highlight just some of the successful individual careers
which have developed around the world with Acergy (p12).
we learn more about our fabrication activities and the
development of our local content in warri, nigeria (see p16)
while we also examine some of the latest technological
advances. we also have an update from the first project
undertaken by our joint venture with sapura crest,
sapuraAcergy (see p10).

Acergy is well respected in the industry and we enjoy

a leading market position and strong growth prospects
worldwide. I am looking forward to working with you in the
next phase of Acergy's continued growth and development.
