Hi Gang,
This is Sylvester, - my `70 Single Cab which I
just fi nished putting together.
He came to me last year with no engine and
in a sorry state with lots of rust and no brakes
or interior. After approx 12 months, he now
proudly sports a new dual port engine (1600)
and fresh red paint. His exhaust (stacks & du-
als) are real and reward me with a symphony of
sound wherever we go!
That's me unloading wood pellets. We use
them for heat. Gotta' get ready for winter you
know.

Hope you guys don't think it's too sacrilegious to
make an electric from a diesel...
-Inspiration: "Convert It!" by Mike Brown
-GVW: 2700 lbs
-Power: 72 Volts (12 Golf Cart Batteries ~ 720 lbs)
with an Alltrax controller for 200 amps continuously
(350 for 5 mins, 450 for 2 mins)
-Speed: 40mph cruising speed (will do 50 but it sucks
the amps)
-Range: 25 miles in the winter, 35 in the summer
-Electricity Cost: $.03 per mile
-Battery Cost: $25 per month
-Mods: No clutch (just use 1st & 2nd), added helper
springs in the rear & heavy duty springs up front

Dear Parts Place,
This is a great around town vehicle. My wife even drives it. I really
like seeing that amp meter on zero at red lights and coasting down
hills. I love not buying gas and feel outraged when I give $25 to Big
Oil while fi lling my wife's car. Thanks for the parts!
