La Trobe University offers students a

Advanced Standing (credit)
Advanced Standing (credit) refers to credit that is
granted on the basis of previous studies. La Trobe
University may grant Advanced Standing (for subjects
passed at other recognised tertiary institutions) if:
· They are equivalent in content and standard to those
offered by La Trobe University
· They are relevant to a student's planned course
of study.
If you wish to apply for Advanced Standing (credit) for
previous studies you must provide details, including
course syllabus (e.g. handbook entries in English
translation, with your application). The University will not
assess previous studies for Advanced Standing (credit)
before an application is lodged and this information is
supplied.
FEE-HELP
FEE-HELP is a loan scheme that assists students
who are not Commonwealth Supported to pay
their tuition fees. FEE-HELP replaces previous loan
schemes including the Postgraduate Education Loan
Scheme (PELS), Open Learning Deferred Payment
Scheme (OLDPS), and Bridging for Overseas-Trained
Professionals Loan Scheme (BOTPLS). FEE-HELP
covers student tuition amounts up to A$83 313.

Postgraduate full fee policy
Prior to a subject Census Date, applications can
be made to have any subject tuition fees and part
payments with respect to FEE-HELP liability, refunded
directly by Electronic Funds Transfer. After a subject
Census Date (for further information regarding subject
Census Dates please contact the Graduate School
of Management) normally liability is non refundable.
If a student becomes seriously ill or other special
circumstances occur and they are unable to continue
studies, application can be made to have their fee, or
FEE-HELP debt for the term or semester reduced or
removed. `Special circumstances' does not include lack
of knowledge or understanding of fees and how they
are administered, or of La Trobe University's enrolment
procedures and regulations.
