Career assistance
A competitive edge in the job market is essential for today's
graduates. Surveys conducted by the Graduate Careers Council
of Australia have found that graduates with postgraduate
qualifications are more likely to be employed full-time than those
with Bachelor degrees, and with substantially higher earnings.
With this in mind, La Trobe University has a comprehensive range
of career services designed to help you get ahead. Services
include one-on-one careers counselling and career planning, job
interview practise, resume checking, regular seminars and events
(e.g. the Graduate Recruitment Expo), access to a careers library,
and an online careers and employment database where students
can find part-time employment opportunities.
