Notebooks do not tolerate bumps, knocks or impact shock and the most
common damage includes the following:
Even the most robust hard-drive must give in
to knocks, bumps and vibrations - reinstal-
lation and loss of data is expensive for the
company!
Corners and hinges are sensitive, they can
split easily and develop cracks!
CD/DVD drives are sensitive and often have
problems reading CD's/DVD's after the reading
head becomes skewed!
The LCD inverter card and motherboard are
comprised of soldering and other sensitive
components, in which loose connections can
easily occur!
The screen is sensitive to pressure and blows,
that may result in a scratched screen or pixel
errors!
